Iran-President-Speech
President Ahmadinejad said here justice and honesty are among the most important goals of Islam.

He added in the current situation, mankind is seeking God, justice, honesty and greatness and the conditions are improving in this direction very quickly.

Speaking in the 14th meeting of Graduate Society of Imam Khomeini Research Institute, Ahmadinejad said, "If the world arrogance cannot see the signs of this promising development in the contemporary world, it means they have closed their eyes on the realities."
He said, "Mankind is tired of cruelty of hegemonic powers and hates the existing world situation."

Iran-President-Energy
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Tuesday said that life today is impossible without production of energy and called for serious steps in the process of energy production, transmission and consumption in the country.

Inaugurating the Sixth National Energy Symposium titled 'New Approaches to Production and Consumption of Energy', President Ahmadinejad added that human dependence on energy is growing more than ever.

Ahmadinejad added the 40 percent of the local energy consumption is used in generating electricity while 51 percent is used in the transportation sector and these rates are very high. He added that plans should be made to decrease them.

He called for efforts to replace fossil fuel, which cause pollution, by clean energy sources.

The president expressed his government's full support for applying inventions and researches in the country and called on the energy minister and his colleagues to try to increase the efficiency of researches by putting them into practical use.

Prior to the president's address, Energy Minister Parviz Fattah explained the performance of the ministry in generating electricity and the conditions of electricity production and consumption in the country.

The Sixth National Energy Symposium which was held in the Research Center of the Ministry of Energy on Tuesday was attended by the president, minister of energy, his deputies and managers as well as Iranian university researchers.

Iran-OIC-Support
The Secretary General of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu on Wednesday appreciated Iranian effective support for the body.

In a meeting with Iranian permanent envoy to OIC Mohammad Kazem Khansari, Ihsanoglu thanked the services of the former Iran ambassador to the OIC during his term in office.

Khansari, for his part, pointed to the role and status of the organization in supporting legitimate rights and goals of the Islamic nations, expressing hope that thanks to the efforts being made by the secretary general and his colleagues the OIC will move forward more than ever.

The ambassador underlined the need for revising the OIC current Charter and drawing up new Charter based on its Islamic identity, adding that it should be a strategy with the aim of following up the lofty goals of the Muslim World.

Iran-Bahrain-Mottaki
Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said here Wednesday that Iran is exploring ways to promote cooperation with the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, the Arab Union and Arab Parliament member sates. mottaki

"To this effect, Iran is considering plans to sign protocols for free trade with the PGCC, attain observer membership in the AU and raising cooperation with the Arab Parliament," said Mottaki in a meeting with Bahraini Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Nizar Sadeq Al-Babarna here on Wednesday.

Mottaki said Bahrain is a PGCC member with which Iran has signed a dlrs 50 billion contract for a giant economic project.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Mottaki said the Zionist regime suffered a humiliating defeat in war with the Lebanese people, so it is trying to stir violence in Lebanon.

He said growing insecurity in Iraq, Afghanistan and Lebanon has a direct adverse impact on security of regional states.

Praising the role of Iran in strengthening security in the region, Mottaki said, "Iran has always been playing an influential role in settling regional crises and due to the same reason it welcomed talks with Americans after their official request and upon a call from the Iraqi government.

"During the talks, discussions were held on ending sufferings of the Iraqi people and guaranteeing the country's territorial integrity and independence."
On his part, Al-Babarna said that such initiatives as planning new phase of cooperation among regional states would guarantee the welfare and comfort of the countries of the region.

He also welcomed projects to facilitate activity of Iranian and Bahraini private sectors in each other's territory.

Iran-Nuclear-Board
Iran's nuclear case is on agenda of the Wednesday afternoon session of the IAEA Board of Governors quarterly meeting that opened here on Monday, according to an IAEA spokesperson.

A western diplomat had already told IRNA on the sidelines of the third day session of the Board that it will discuss the IAEA Chief Mohamed ElBaradei's new report on Iran probably in its Thursday session.

The diplomat said many items on the agenda including the North Korean issue, are still left undiscussed.

Based on latest reports, the Board finished the North Korean issue in its pre-noon session and it would possibly focus on Iran in the Wednesday afternoon session.

The spokesperson said 15 states have announced readiness to read their statements on Iran's peaceful nuclear program in the afternoon session of the Board.

Iran-Turkmenistan-Berdi Muhammedov
Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdi Muhammedov said that friendship between Iran and his country is lasting given abundant historical and spiritual commonalties between the two states.

According to Turkmen TV, Berdi Muhammedov said at a cabinet session that the existing friendship and cooperation between the two countries were in the interest of both nations and the whole region.

The Turkmen president in that meeting which completely focused on his upcoming visit to Iran on Friday and Saturday, stressed that two states have constructive and fruitful cooperation in strategic fields such as fuel and energy, transportation, agriculture and water.

The Turkmen foreign minister and deputy chairman of the cabinet meeting also presented a report on the preparations made for the visit of President Burdi Muhammedov to Iran.

Rashit Meredov added inter-governmental agreements had been drawn up to be signed during that visit.

Iran and Turkmenistan have more than 1200 km joint ground and water border.

Turkmen capital of Ashkhabad with a six million population is located 42 km away from Iranian border city of Bajgiran.
